Open Call for Outdoor Installation at Marble Mountain (2026 summer season)
The Cloud Factory invites artists to submit proposals for an outdoor site-responsive installation presented in partnership with Marble Mountain Ski Resort, summer 2026. The primary project site is the Marble Mountain’s Toad Pond which sits below a zipline. See image below. Proposals for alternative on-site locations within the resort grounds are welcome. Artists are encouraged to consider the specific environment and public setting when developing proposals.
Open Call: Arts Organization Assistant (Contract)
Cloud Factory Artist Run Centre is seeking an Arts Organization Assistant for a short-term contract to support administrative, research, and grant development activities.
This position is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in the operations of an artist-run centre and the behind-the-scenes work that supports contemporary art programming.

The Cloud Factory, in partnership with Marble Mountain, is pleased to invite artists to submit proposals for an outdoor art installation to be presented during the 2026 ski season.
We are seeking creative, site-responsive projects that engage with the natural, cultural, and recreational environment of Marble Mountain. Selected work will be installed on-site and remain on view throughout the 2026 ski season. See more for details.

We invite you to participate in a netting workshop with local Corner Brook artist Lauren Brinson, where you will have the opportunity to learn the traditional Newfoundland craft of hand net-making.
Night Club by Ella Tetrault & Alex van Helvoort
Night Club offers an exciting way to experience the trails after dark. We hope that the interplay of movement, sound, and natural imagery will create an unexpected and dynamic encounter with the often unseen through subtle encounters with the video works located throughout the lodge. This installation combines digital media, nature, and experimental sound design to create a memorable and interactive experience. It invites curiosity, playfulness, and reflection while reinforcing the deep connection between people and the winter landscape.

Join us for the third instalment of our video art festival SNOW SCREENING 2025
Grant Writing workshop
This free workshop has been established to support artists and creative producers with their grant and proposal writing. Through a presentation and discussion, we will work through various approaches to writing that can lead to the clear and effective communication of one’s creative plans. We will also explore how to develop an appropriate timeline and budget.
This is the first in a series of six workshops the Cloud Factory will be hosting.
It will be held on February 15, 2025, 1:00-2:30pm NST, in-person at the Centre for Research and Innovation, 2 Mill Street in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Participants can also join remotely.

Open Call for Site-Specific Video Installation
This year, alongside the Snow Screening event, The Cloud Factory, in partnership with Blow Me Down Ski Club, is looking to commission one longer duration site-specific video project!

We’re bringing together residents of the Bay of Islands for a beach clean up followed by a traditional community “boil up”.
