June 8th (World Ocean Day 2024)

In honor of World Ocean Day, ACAP Humber Arm is organizing an outdoor community event at the Majestic Lawn in Corner Brook to celebrate the ocean. The fair will showcase engaging and educational activities and displays from organizations involved in ocean-related initiatives.

As a part of our contribution, Cloud Factory ARC will be continuing our Gather, Rinse, Repeat project and conducting beach clean-up efforts along the west coast, and using the collected ocean plastic and trash to create an installation for the fair. Additionally, we will be hosting an outdoor cyanotype workshop using some of the leftover plastic waste for participants to create their own prints.
